The Cape Cod Synagogue, a Reform Jewish congregation, has a rich history that began in 1933 when fifteen young Jewish women met to discuss the need for Jewish education for their children and community life for their families. This meeting led to the establishment of the Jewish Women’s Club in July of that year, followed by the Jewish Men’s Club in November. It was also in November that the congregation welcomed its first rabbi, marking the formal beginning of the Cape Cod Synagogue's journey.

Over the years, the synagogue has grown and evolved, becoming a vital part of the Cape Cod community. It has been instrumental in providing for the homeless, ailing, and those experiencing hardship, helping numerous families with their individual needs. For over three decades, the synagogue has also provided a community-wide dinner on Christmas Day annually for the greater Cape Cod community. This tradition underscores the synagogue's commitment to inclusivity and community service.

The Cape Cod Synagogue is also recognized for its welcoming stance towards the LGBTQ community, further emphasizing its inclusive approach. The congregation's dedication to social justice and community service reflects the core values of Reform Judaism and its commitment to tikkun olam, the Jewish concept of repairing the world.
